Reviews of the Runes on the Run© Card Decks

Runes.  The word makes us think of ancient poems carved on standing stones and protective spells engraved on magic swords.  While few of us can translate those spells, we can all read "Runes on the Run," the divination deck by Lady Katherine Anderson.  This oversized deck  may be the easiest to use divination tool yet invented.

Rather than thick stones and bulky guidebook, Lady Katherine has printed photos of rune stones on the face of the cards.  Below each photograph you will find four paragraphs explaining the significance of that rune in that position.  You can read a general interpretation of the rune or find out how it relates to employment, relationships or finance.  Want additional depth?  On each side of the rune photos you'll find key words, associated deities, colors, planets, herbs, matching tarot cards, zodiac signs and more.

Let's say you have a question about a new job.  You shuffle the cards and ask, "Should I take that job at Microsoft bugging--err, debugging Windows XP?"  You examine the card titled "One, Three, Five and Seven Card Spread" and choose the Three Card spread.  The first card outlines the situation, the next is the challenge, and the last is the outcome.

You cast the "stones" and read the cards from left to right, reading the "Employment" paragraph across all three cards to get your answer. It is simple and quick. The meaning depends on you, your worldview, your employment experience and your interpretation of the runes. But all the information is right in front of you.

The "Runes on the Run" deck includes 24 rune cards, plus one card each with an introduction to runes, instructions on using the "Runes on the Run" deck plus examples of various spreads.  Cards for copyright notice, ordering information and further-reading list are also included. It's all wrapped up in a handsome drawstring tapestry bag. With "Runes on the Run" everything you need is right in front of you.  No bulky reference book required.  Just choose a spread, lay it out and read the cards.  As Rosie O'Donelle says, "How easy is that?"
